Training for Principal Investigators
Tuesday, June 30th, 9-11am
This session is directed at individuals who are new to the award process at PSU. Topics to be covered include locating funding, the PIAF process, creating a proposal budget, and submitting your proposal.
Thursday, June 18th, 1-4pm
This training is designed specifically for individuals who received an award in the past year, or who have recently transferred a project to PSU from another University. These are small group sessions for a maximum of 12 PIs and Research Administrative Professionals (RAPs). It covers the responsibilities of a PI, the internal processes for setting up a new award, and the challenges of award management. In addition, attendees will learn about tools, resources, and networks available to researchers at PSU. Staff from Research Accounting (e.g. your grant accountant) as well as staff from ORSP (e.g. contract officers, research integrity officer) will be there to meet attendees and answer questions.
All sessions will be held in the conference room on the 6th floor of the Unitus Building (2121 SW Fourth Ave)
